Women & Children’s Program
The King’s Home Women and Children’s Program provides long-term housing with free services in our goal-oriented program for women and adult moms with kids fleeing domestic violence and homelessness.
Freedom from Domestic Violence
We offer loving support and a residential, home-like setting for women and mothers with children fleeing domestic violence. Our structured, goal-oriented program is designed to transform lives, empowering women to break the cycle of abuse. We provide food, housing, medical expenses, educational support, transportation, counseling, advocacy, job training, and childcare in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.
Tessie’s Story
Domestic abuse forced Tessie and her young children to seek refuge at King's Home. Despite the challenges, Tessie found support and tapped into her potential, graduating with a Master's in Accounting! Read more stories like Tessie’s.
Hope for Tomorrow
We understand that domestic violence will continue to plague each victim and future generations if the appropriate actions aren’t taken to see to a proper recovery.
Women who enter King’s Home Women and Children’s Program may stay for up to two years and take the necessary time to truly heal themselves and their families. During this time in our goal-oriented program, each woman can undergo counseling, receive job training, earn their GEDs, focus on their educations, gain financial literacy, learn healthy parenting skills, receive free childcare, and so much more —all while receiving the unconditional love and support each woman needs to truly break the cycle of abuse.
We provide long-term housing, advocacy, and self-sufficiency services so that each woman may focus on putting her life back together while becoming sound — emotionally and financially — so that they will break the cycle of abuse. All services are provided with loving support and in a homelike, non-institutional setting, empowering each woman to eventually live on their own in a stable and dignified manner. Services are available without regard to race, creed, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, handicap, or religion.
“King’s Home for me and others is a place of healing for the broken, a place of new beginnings, and a second chance for some of us. I am a miracle in the making. I have hope and I have a future. The love is real. The caring hearts, the gentle words, also the words of encouragement, the “I understand, Angela,” are the real thing”.
